Haas
Asia Business Conference 2004
For
year 2004, ASIA: Bridge to the Future, reflects the
optimism surrounding Asia's increasingly predominant
role in the world economy. It also implicitly acknowledges
that the present trends of globalization, knowledge
creation, and ubiquitous information depict a shifting
landscape not easily traversed. The Berkeley ABC draws
on the rich legacy provided by the University of California
at Berkeley in shaping the path from the here-and-now
to the future. Our distinguished speakers, panelists,
and companies will further inform and enlighten us
as to which bridge or bridges in Asia point to the
future and how best to navigate them.
